1. Acceptance of these Terms
By using this website, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
2. Who may use this website
This website is intended for adults. Minors should use it only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
3. Information only, not medical advice
The content on this website, including text, graphics, videos and blog posts, is for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not medical advice and is not a substitute for diagnosis or treatment by a qualified health care professional who knows your history. Always seek the advice of your physician or another qualified provider with questions about a medical condition, and never ignore professional advice or delay seeking it because of something you read on this website. See also our Medical Disclaimer.
4. No doctor–patient relationship
Using this website, reading its content, sending a message through the contact form, emailing us or leaving a voicemail does not create a doctor–patient relationship. A doctor–patient relationship begins only when you have been accepted as a patient and have had a consultation with one of our physicians, in person or by telemedicine.
5. Emergencies
6. Please don’t send sensitive health information
The website contact form and regular email are not secure ways to send medical information. Please use them only for scheduling and general questions, and do not include details about your symptoms, conditions, medications, test results or other sensitive health information. Patients can share health information securely through our patient portal or during a visit.
7. Our direct-pay model
We are a direct-pay practice. We do not bill health insurance, and fees are paid directly by the patient. Current visit fees are listed on our Pricing page. Fees, payment terms and practice policies, including our appointment and cancellation policies, are provided when you schedule and in our patient agreements and forms. If anything on the website differs from the fees or policies given to you when you schedule or in your patient agreement, the information given to you at scheduling or in your agreement controls.
8. Telemedicine
- Eligibility. Telemedicine visits are available only to patients who are physically located in North Carolina or Wisconsin at the time of the visit. We may ask you to confirm your identity and your location at each visit, and we may need to reschedule if you are located elsewhere.
- Who is seen how. North Carolina patients may be seen in person at our Raleigh office or by telemedicine. Wisconsin patients are seen by telemedicine only.
- Limits. Not every concern can be fully evaluated or treated by video. Your physician may decide that a physical examination, in-person visit, lab work, imaging or care from a local provider is needed. Prescribing and treatment decisions are made by your physician using professional judgment and applicable law, and a telemedicine visit does not guarantee any particular treatment or prescription.
- Technology. Telemedicine depends on internet connections and devices, which can fail or be interrupted. You are responsible for joining from a private location with a reliable connection. If a visit is interrupted, we will try to reconnect or reschedule.
- Not for emergencies. Telemedicine is not for emergencies. Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
Additional details are provided when you schedule a telemedicine visit.
9. Patient portal and other third-party services
Our patient portal, telemedicine platform, scheduling tools and other services may be provided by third parties and may have their own terms and privacy policies, which apply when you use them.
10. Intellectual property
The website and its content, including text, graphics, logos, photos and videos, are owned by or licensed to Alray and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. You may view and print pages for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, republish or create derivative works from website content without our prior written permission, except as allowed by law.
11. Acceptable use
When using the website, you agree not to:
- use it for any unlawful, fraudulent or harmful purpose;
- submit false information or impersonate another person;
- send spam, malware or harassing or abusive messages;
- try to gain unauthorized access to the website, its servers or related systems, or interfere with how the website works;
- use bots, scrapers or other automated tools to collect content or information from the website without our permission.
12. Links to other websites
The website may contain links to websites and services operated by others, such as social media, maps, medical organizations and educational resources. We provide these links for convenience only. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices or availability, and a link does not mean we endorse them.
13. Disclaimer of warranties
We try to keep the website accurate and up to date, but medical knowledge changes and errors can occur. The website is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement, to the extent permitted by law. We do not promise that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of viruses or other harmful components.
14. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Alray and its physicians, staff and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the website or its content.
Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law. These Terms apply to your use of the website. They do not govern the medical care we provide to patients, which is subject to professional standards and applicable law.
15. Indemnification
If you misuse the website or violate these Terms, you agree to be responsible for, and to reimburse us for, reasonable losses and costs (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) resulting from claims caused by that misuse or violation, to the extent permitted by law.

17. Changes to these Terms or the website
We may update these Terms from time to time by posting the updated version on this page and changing the “last updated” date below. Your continued use of the website after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms. We may also change, suspend or discontinue any part of the website at any time.
18. General
If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce any part of these Terms is not a waiver of our right to do so later. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Medical Disclaimer, are the entire agreement between you and us about your use of the website. Separate patient agreements and forms govern patient care and fees.
