FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
Answers about intimate health, insurance, appointments and what to expect.
What is intimate health?
Intimate health embodies a rich physical and functional health in sensitive areas of your body like the vulva, vagina, pelvis and male sexual organs.
Why see us for your intimate health needs?
Most traditional practices don’t have the time, training, or resources to focus on intimate health. Corporate structure and insurance billing add many layers of restrictions on your actual time spent with your physician. Bypassing complicated insurance billing lets us spend more time with you and come up with a treatment plan that is personalized to your needs.
Do you accept medical insurance?
No, we do not accept insurance. Most of the conditions we treat tend not to be covered by insurance anyway. Bypassing complicated insurance billing lets us give you more time with us, ensuring that your care is personalized to your exact needs. With our transparent pricing, you always know how much you are going to pay, avoiding the surprise bills commonly associated with insurance-based care.
For the most part you will be able to use your insurance to cover prescriptions, lab work and imaging studies. You can use your HSA/FSA account for visits, and a superbill is provided on request. See Pricing for details.
What are your opening hours?
We do not have set opening hours. We are easy to get hold of through various modes of communication, and our hours are flexible for your schedule.
Do you provide primary care services?
No, we do not.
Can I bring my partner to the appointment?
Yes, by all means. Dr. Yasmin is an AASECT certified sexuality counselor and has extensive training and experience in sexual problems in women that impact their relationships. Partners are always welcome and encouraged to be part of a woman’s journey through this.
What is the best way to get in touch with you if I have a question or need to make an appointment?
The best way to get in touch with us is to use the Contact us form on our website. You can specify the preferred way to connect with you, whether by email or by phone. You can also leave a voicemail or text us at 984-212-3686.
Do you offer in-person visits and telemedicine?
Yes. North Carolina patients can be seen in person at our Raleigh office or by telemedicine. Wisconsin patients are seen by telemedicine only. Telemedicine visits are available with Dr. Yasmin or Dr. Rajesh, and our platform is secure and HIPAA-compliant. For North Carolina patients who start with telemedicine, an in-person visit at our Raleigh office may be recommended if a physical examination is needed. Learn more about telemedicine.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations and rescheduling must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Otherwise, you may forfeit $100.
